Working with hope at the heart of the matter

Sometimes you may find yourself stuck — physically, emotionally, or mentally. Perhaps you’ve tried many things and still wonder: “Why does this keep coming back?” Hypnotherapy can then be a valuable next step.

What Is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses trance — a natural state of deep relaxation and focused awareness. In trance, your attention turns inward, and outside stimuli fade into the background. You can think of it as making contact with your subconscious — that vast part of yourself where all your experiences, emotions, and beliefs are stored.

We often compare consciousness to the tip of an iceberg: what we think and feel daily is only a small part of who we are. Beneath the surface lies a much larger body of knowledge, memories, and inner wisdom. In hypnotherapy, you learn to communicate with that deeper part of yourself. You begin to listen to what is happening inside — sometimes to feelings or beliefs you weren’t fully aware of. This awareness can bring new insights that help you understand, acknowledge, ease, or even transform the problems you experience.

What Hypnotherapy Can Make Possible
During hypnotherapy, beliefs can shift, emotions can be released, and limiting patterns can be broken. You learn to use your own inner resources and strengthen new connections in your brain. In trance, you can revisit how something felt in the past — or experience how a desired future might look and feel. This allows you to practice new ways of thinking, feeling, or behaving, so they become more natural in everyday life.

More Than Symptom Relief
I work with modern hypnotherapy — a form that goes beyond symptom management. Unlike classical hypnosis, where the therapist mainly gives direct suggestions (such as “you no longer smoke”), modern hypnotherapy focuses on uncovering the root cause and on helping you discover your own healing solutions. Because I am not you — how could I possibly know what helps you best? Of course, I bring my professional training and experience, but I believe that deep down, you already hold many of the answers yourself.

Together, we explore which subconscious feelings, thoughts, or images may be contributing to restlessness, pain, an excessive sense of responsibility, perfectionism, guilt, fatigue, or insecurity. My role is to guide you — not to do the work for you. I offer a safe and respectful space where you can connect with what’s happening beneath the surface, so that you can discover what supports your healing.

When underlying emotions such as stress, anger, sadness, or emptiness are not acknowledged, there’s a good chance that symptoms will return or appear in other forms — for example, emotional eating, fatigue, or physical tension. True healing takes time, attention, and awareness. Your body and mind don’t want to be silenced — they want to be understood. Hypnotherapy helps you gently uncover what lies beneath the surface. Step by step, you regain a sense of control, understand what your symptoms are trying to tell you, and build renewed trust in your own ability to heal. Modern hypnotherapy can offer you more calm, confidence, and hope for the future.

Why This Matters
Your body and mind are constantly working together. Pain, tension, or fatigue are not enemies — they are signals asking you to pause and listen. By taking those signals seriously and exploring what they’re trying to communicate, you create space for recovery.

What to Expect From My Guidance
We’ll explore together — at your own pace. I provide a safe environment where you can learn to listen to yourself, release tension, and gain insight into patterns that no longer serve you. This creates room for more calm, trust, growth, acceptance, and hope. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, stress, fatigue, or other challenges, modern hypnotherapy can help you reconnect with yourself. Because only when you understand where your symptoms come from, can you learn to relate to them differently — and gradually experience more freedom, energy, acceptance, and quality of life.

Personalized Healing
Every person is unique, and so is every therapeutic process. We’ll tailor the sessions to what suits you best — w ith care for your background, needs, and rhythm. A special branch within modern hypnotherapy is medical hypnosis, which focuses on reducing pain and stress. It’s always important to first consult your GP to rule out medical causes. When no physical cause is found, hypnotherapy can help restore balance and reduce discomfort.

A Science-Based Approach
Research using neuroimaging shows that during hypnotic trance, different brain regions are active compared to the normal waking state. The self-awareness network becomes more active, while the external awareness network quiets down. Modern hypnotherapy is not magic — it’s a natural and evidence-based way to learn how to listen to what your body and mind truly need.
It’s a process in which you hold the key to change — with my guidance as a safe and supportive companion along the way.
